Ben Robinson is a Sydney-based emerging artist whose practice considers the relationship between photography and the passing of time. Robinson uses a range of experimental photographic methods to suggest that photography is like a fingerprint of duration. Recently he undertook a two-week artist residency at Joya: AiR in regionally Andalusia, Spain. Robinson is currently creating an archive of slit-scan imagery from different locations around the world as an ongoing study into duration as a universal concept, gathering images that vary in aesthetic but speak together to remind us that time is a metaphysical concept.
